THE RESORT AND SURROUNDING AREAS:

The nearest beaches to the apartment are Cala Egos or Cala Es Pou, which are within easy walking distance.  In addition for those who enjoy a leisurely 25 minute stroll (at an easy pace), the apartment is ideally situated to many of the other local beaches including the two main beaches in Cala D'Or (known as Cala Gran and Cala D'Or).  In additon, these beaches are accessible by a road train which runs at frequent intervals for a small charge.

Surrounding Area:

Cala D'Or also benefits from many traffic free streets which provide many shops, bars and restaurants.  Dining out and evening entertainment is plentiful in this delightful area.  This again is accessible from the apartment either by a leisurely stroll around the marina and into town, or by the road train or taxi.  Should you decide to stroll into Cala D'Or town, there are  many bars and restaurants to tempt you on route round the Marina.

The Marina is five minutes from the apartment and is a very popular area in the evenings for those seeking a pleasent evening dining out at the waters edge, or even those just out for a gentle stroll, who enjoying looking at the many boats and yachts.  The restaurants have extensive menus, including many seafood dishes, pastas, steaks, chicken dishes etc and the restaurants welcome and cater for children of all ages.

Cala Mondrego (National Park and Beach)

The beautiful beaches and national parks of Cala Mondrego are approximately 5 miles away.   The park attracts many cyclists, walkers and even horse riding is available to those who wish to book a session.

Golf:

The local golf course of Vall d'Or Golf is situated between the resorts of Cala D'or and Porto Colom and is approximately 5 miles away from the apartment.  It has 18 holes and a driving range, hire of buggies and trollies, clubs etc.  Enquire at valldorgolf.com for further information.
